PCB Trace Signal Propagation & Reflection
A step signal launches from the driver (left) along a PCB trace. At the impedance discontinuity (via, connector, or stub), part of the signal reflects back with coefficient Γ = (Z₁ − Z₀)/(Z₁ + Z₀). The remaining signal continues to the load. Adjust impedances to see how reflections corrupt the waveform.
